Notably, he commended President Tinubu's decisive action in suspending the embattled Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, for a thorough investigation into financial irregularities within her ministry.
Senator Ndume, however, did not stop at applauding the suspension. He went on to assert that Minister Edu did not act in isolation, pointing fingers at a group of individuals who, he claims, have coalesced to form a powerful political cartel within the Tinubu Presidency. Expressing the urgency of the matter, Ndume warned that if left unchecked, this emerging political cabal could pose a significant threat to the stability of President Tinubu's administration.
"What President Tinubu has done is very timely. The suspension of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs is a welcome development. It will allow the relevant agencies to conduct a proper investigation," Ndume acknowledged, emphasizing the importance of the swift action taken by the president.

"The President needs to look deep and flush out those involved in mismanaging the funds meant for humanitarian assistance. If they're not stopped, they'll be stronger and worse than the cabal," Ndume cautioned.
