In a strategic move aimed at revitalizing vital Federal Government agencies, President Bola Tinubu has taken decisive action by dismissing two Chief Executive Officers, signaling a commitment to repositioning these entities for the betterment of Nigerian consumers and the nation's economic growth.
The executives affected by this directive are Mr. Babatunde Irukera, who served as the EVC/CEO of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), and Mr. Alexander Ayoola Okoh, the Director-General/CEO of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE).
President Tinubu's decision aligns with the administration's broader plan to strengthen consumer rights and bolster the contributions of key growth-enabling institutions to the nation's economy. The dismissed CEOs are instructed to hand over their responsibilities to the next most senior officers within their respective agencies, paving the way for the prompt appointment of new leadership.
