United We Stand: Supporting Fani-Kayode's Call for Unity and Peace

            By Rotimi Makinde

As Nigerians, we've seen our fair share of challenges, from security concerns to economic struggles. Amidst these trials, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode's voice stands out, advocating for unity, peace, and meritocracy.

In his recent article, "The Enemy Within," Fani-Kayode rightly points out that our nation's strength lies in its diversity and unity. He's spot on when he says that using faith or religion for political gain only fuels division. Merit should be our guiding principle, not religious or ethnic affiliations.

It's disheartening to see some Nigerians mocking our symbols or celebrating the misfortune of others. We should be each other's keeper, working towards a Nigeria where everyone feels safe and valued.

Fani-Kayode's stance on condemning violence and promoting peace is commendable. He's an Ile Ife son, a writer, and an advocate for unity – qualities that make him a true patriot.

Let's rally behind his call for unity and peace. We can build a better Nigeria where everyone thrives, regardless of faith or background.
