Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed rumors suggesting he intends to leave the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking after the inaugural meeting of the PDP’s Accommodation Sub-Committee in Abuja, Governor Adeleke clarified that his attendance at social events hosted by APC members does not signal any shift in his political allegiance.
Governor Adeleke emphasized that while he maintains personal friendships across party lines, these relationships do not affect his commitment to the PDP. Addressing concerns over internal party challenges, he described them as a “family affair,” insisting that the PDP is managing its issues internally and remains strong and widely supported nationwide.
Further underlining his dedication to the party, Adeleke reaffirmed his role as Deputy Chairman of the PDP’s upcoming national convention and as head of the Accommodation Sub-Committee. He assured party members that the convention, scheduled for November 15 and 16, would proceed smoothly, reflecting the party’s focus on unity and progress.
Governor Adeleke’s statements are aimed at quelling speculation about defections and reinforcing his loyalty to the PDP amid ongoing political discussions in the state and across the country.
