The recent developments in Osun State Apc politics and especially the manner at which we daily takes our matter to social media have left many shocked and dismayed, none more so than Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the immediate past Governor of Osun State. The manner in which some individuals, who were once trusted allies and beneficiaries of his trust and generosity, turned their tongues against him in the build up to 2026 starting from the post era of 2022 election is a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of man and politics.
As a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Alhaji Oyetola has been a beacon of hope and progress, dedicating his life to public service and the development of his state. No sane and sound person would be comfortable with the bashing and the washy washy ,the tongue lashing against his person on social media as 2026 is loading and most especially by those who ordinarily should be singing hossana.Life is truly a teacher. All his kindness,generosity, and praise now go down the drain. His leadership and vision transformed Osun State, earning him widespread acclaim and admiration no longer worthy in their domain!
It is, therefore, particularly disheartening to see how some individuals, who were once close to him, chose to betray his trust and confidence. The unnecessary misfortune and the outcome of the 2022 election, which did not go in his favor, has seemingly revealed the true nature of some people who masqueraded as friends. Ordinarily, he should be bitter, but he moved on, and now he knows life and people better. Eni a gboju Ogun le, ko jo eni agba. Eniyan loburuju was a movie I would recommend for my readers. It was produced by me in 2008 .
In this difficult time, I wish to express my deepest sympathy and solidarity with Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola. Your integrity, humility, and commitment to public service have not gone unnoticed, and it is our hope that you will continue to be a guiding light for the good people of Osun State.Anyway, let the gang up continue, Let the music of war play on, ti Oluwa ni yoo se. History has a place for every circumstance..
To the good people of Osun State, let us not forget the transformative leadership and development initiatives that Alhaji Oyetola brought to our state. Let us continue to support and pray for our leaders and those who have shown commitment to our collective progress .Personally, I will always align with anyone who shares the value of perseverance and gratitude and displays commitment to the party, the leadership of our party structure, and this explains my utmost respect and solidarity, also for the leadership of my brother Alhaji Sooko Tajudeen Lawal..All eyes on him!.May Allah grant him the wisdom to succeed.
Alhaji Oyetola, we stand with you in this trying moment. It's really a trying period but a good opportunity to refresh your memory on roles played by each of us on the election of 2018 , the rerun and the unnecessary misfortune of 2022 election (I am loading on this) . For now, we pray for God's guidance for the Agba Osun caucus, and your legacy will continue to inspire and motivate future generations of leaders in Osun State and beyond.
