A delegation of young professionals from Aleiru, many of them trained in the diaspora, paid a heartfelt visit to former Attorney General of the Federation, Malam Abubakar Malami (SAN), in Birnin Kebbi, passionately urging him to contest the 2027 governorship election.
Led by Dr. Ayuba Aleiru, the youth expressed deep concern over the deteriorating state of governance in Kebbi. They lamented rising insecurity, growing poverty, and the collapse of public infrastructure. Most painfully, they decried “the waste of Kebbi’s hard-earned resources without any tangible investment in the future of our teeming youth.”
“Kebbi is collapsing before our eyes,” Dr. Ayuba stated. “We have come to plead with you, Malami. You are the only one with the experience, courage, and clean track record to rescue this state from total decay.”
The group emphasized that despite their global training and professional exposure, they were ready to return and contribute to state development—but only under visionary and responsible leadership. They described Malami as a man with the pedigree and political network capable of repositioning Kebbi for growth.
In his response, Malami thanked the youth for their passion and trust. “Your concerns are valid and your patriotism commendable. I will give your request the serious thought it deserves,” he assured them.
As they departed, the message was clear: the Aleiru Youth are not just asking for change—they are ready to support it, and they believe Malami is the right man to lead it.
