NYO Unveils 2025 Emblem, Declares Total Support For National Security

In a bold move to rally Nigerian youth behind the nation’s security efforts, the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO) has unveiled its 2025 national emblem, signaling a new era of youth-driven support for the country’s security forces. The emblem, titled "Adequate Security: A Collective Responsibility for All Nigerian Youths," was launched at a high-profile world press conference at Barcelona Hotel, Abuja, attended by NYO leaders from all six geo-political zones.

Addressing the gathering, the National Executive President of NYO, Comrade Okorie C. Okorie, declared the emblem as a symbol of unwavering commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, particularly in ensuring security across the nation.

"As Nigerian youth, we refuse to sit idly by while criminals attempt to destabilize our great nation," Okorie declared. "Security is not just the duty of the armed forces alone—it is a collective responsibility, and we are stepping up to play our part."

According to him, the inscriptions on the emblem encapsulate the organization’s resolve to work alongside security agencies, offering maximum support to their operations. "We are determined to mobilize every Nigerian youth, from the bustling streets of Lagos to the rural communities in Sokoto, to see security as everybody’s business," he said.

With the unveiling of the emblem, NYO is set to embark on an aggressive nationwide awareness campaign, distributing the emblem across all 36 states and the FCT. The initiative will extend to marketplaces, churches, mosques, schools, village squares, and other public spaces. "We are taking this message directly to the people—no corner of Nigeria will be left untouched," Okorie assured.

Beyond physical distribution, NYO plans to leverage social media, radio, and television to amplify the message, ensuring that every young Nigerian understands the importance of security and their role in maintaining peace.

"Our mission is clear: we will not allow Nigeria to become a playground for criminals and insurgents. The youth of this nation are ready to stand with our security forces, defend our communities, and uphold peace," Okorie declared passionately.

The unveiling of the emblem has sparked excitement and optimism among young Nigerians, with many praising NYO’s bold stance. As the campaign kicks off, all eyes will be on how this initiative transforms the security landscape of the country.
