Aisha Saji Visits Key Cultural Institutions to Enhance Tourism and Culture

Kano State Commissioner for Tourism and Culture, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano, conducted a familiarization visit to the History and Culture Bureau and the Tourism Board on December 30, 2024. The visit was aimed at assessing the operations of these institutions and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement under her ministry's purview.

According to Amina Lawan Isah, the Information Officer for the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, the Commissioner commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his unwavering support in promoting tourism and preserving Kano State’s rich cultural heritage.

During her visit, Hajiya Aisha praised the notable achievements of the two parastatals, including infrastructure renovations and the introduction of innovative cultural programs. She encouraged staff members to prioritize punctuality and dedication to their duties, cautioning against absenteeism.

Highlighting the Governor's commitment to staff welfare, she pointed to the successful implementation of the new minimum wage policy as evidence of his dedication to improving the lives of workers in the state.

In response, the Executive Secretary of the History and Culture Bureau, Ahmad Abba Yusuf, and the Managing Director of the Tourism Board, Comrade Tukur Bala Sagagi, expressed their gratitude and support for the Commissioner’s vision. They pledged to work collaboratively toward advancing Kano’s tourism and cultural sectors, ensuring the ministry's goals are achieved.

Hajiya Aisha’s visit reinforces the state’s dedication to harnessing its cultural wealth and tourism potential for sustainable development and progress.
