In a daring act, bandits targeted the Pambara Extension area in the Bwari Area Council of Abuja, striking fear as they abducted Mr. Aondo Ver, a Director in the Federal Housing Authority. The abduction occurred around 12:30 am on Thursday, merely 200 meters away from a military base known as 'camp.'
Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants, armed and indiscriminately firing shots, created chaos in the vicinity before escaping through the bushes with the kidnapped director. Shockingly, the targeted area includes not only civilians but also military personnel, both serving and retired.
Residents expressed their astonishment at the audacity of the attack, given the proximity to the military base. One source revealed, "The part of Pambara Extension where Mr. Ver was kidnapped is just about 200 meters away from the military base. But the kidnappers escaped through the bushes with the victim."
Another resident emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, "Our estate is very close to the military base here known as 'camp' at the entrance of Bwari, and there are also serving and retired military personnel living with us here, yet these bandits were bold enough to attack this place and kidnap Mr. Ver."
This incident raises concerns about security measures in the area, particularly given its proximity to a military installation. Authorities are urged to take swift action to ensure the safe return of the abducted director and fortify security in the region.
