In a stunning revelation sourced from Pointblank News, Dr. Betta Edu, the recently suspended minister, is intensifying her fight back, vowing to expose individuals involved in what she claims is a rampant looting spree within the government. The unfolding controversy now includes pointed accusations against Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.
According to an insider within Aso Rock, Edu has allegedly resorted to blackmail, asserting that she provided funds to Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and other presidency members from her ministry. She argues vehemently that she should not be treated as an outsider in this unfolding scandal.
The focus of Edu's allegations centers on Tunji Ojo, Tinubu's Minister, who is reported to have received a staggering N438.1 million from the N3 billion Social Register Contract. Shockingly, funds were disbursed to unregistered and obscure companies.
Notable among these companies is New Planet Project Limited, owned by the Minister for Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. The company, registered on March 3, 2009, allegedly secured a contract worth N438.1 million to serve as a consultant for the National Social Register. This project aimed to verify 11 million homes in Nigeria, and remarkably, it was claimed to be accomplished within just one month.
Further revelations point to Fabunmi Olanipeku & Co, an accounting firm with registration number 2524198, allegedly owned by a brother to APC Attorney Wole Olanipekun, receiving N419.5 million. Vintsolve Global Consult, Blue Trend Enterprise, Periscope Consulting, Laitop Dynamics Interlink Services Ltd, and Memak Nigeria Limited are also implicated, with various amounts ranging from N277 million to N558.8 million.
What raises eyebrows is the lack of proper registration records for some of these entities, such as Blue Trend Enterprise and Vintsolve Global Consult. Additionally, the ownership and registration details of Memak Nigeria Limited remain shrouded in mystery.
MC Van Management Consult Limited and Danzinger Nigeria Limited, both allegedly lacking proper registration documentation, received contracts amounting to N275.8 million each. All contractors, astonishingly, claim to have verified 11 million homes in Nigeria within a single month.
As this explosive scandal continues to unfold, Betta Edu's pointed accusations against Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila add a new layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation.
