That is how power has protected power in Nigeria for decades.
*1989 vs 2026: SAME PLAYBOOK*
*1989*: *Alhaji Mohammed Bashir* accused the #2 man in government of collecting $500,000 bribe. Government called him “a crook”, detained him, and the case died.
*2026*: Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi says he is DG of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC. He says his appointment came through the Chief of Staff’s office. He says “let the court vindicate me.”
Government response: “The council is fictitious. He is a forger.” 8-count charge filed. Next court date: *July 27, 2026.*
*WHY NIGERIANS MUST PAY ATTENTION*
1. *YOUR MONEY*: PFIPC was listed in the *2026 Appropriation Act with over ₦1.3 BILLION*. ₦802.98m for personnel. ₦200m overhead. ₦300m capital.
2. *THE PROCESS*: How did a “non-existent” agency get office at Federal Secretariat, CBN accounts, TSA, and approval for 300+ staff?
3. *THE QUESTION*: As Atiku said, “Nigerians cannot be asked to swallow that one man did this alone.”

*JULY 27, 2026: THE TEST OF HONOR*
In *1975*, when General Murtala Mohammed’s name was mentioned in a matter of public concern, he did not hide. He did not send aides to deny. He chose to *enter the witness box himself* to defend his name and clear the air before Nigerians.
That was leadership. That was honor. That was accountability.
Today the question is simple:
*Will Gbajabiamila toe the path of honor* set by Murtala in 1975 and address Nigerians directly?
Or will we get the 1989 playbook: denial, delay, and silence?

This is not about party. This is about accountability.
*Who approved ₦1.3bn of taxpayer money for an agency the government now says does not exist?*
Nigerians deserve answers.
