The New Delta Grassroots Movement has strongly condemned acts of terrorism and insecurity across the country, calling on Nigerians to remain vigilant and support efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
The leader of the group, Engr. Felix Akpoyibo, made the call during an exclusive interview with Abuja Network News in Abuja, where he expressed concern over the persistent security challenges confronting parts of the nation.
Akpoyibo described terrorism as a serious threat to national unity, peace, and development, stressing that all forms of violence and criminality must be rejected by citizens and confronted collectively through lawful means.
He urged Nigerians to be security conscious at all times and promptly report suspicious movements, activities, or individuals to the appropriate security agencies for immediate action.
According to him, the fight against terrorism and insecurity requires the active participation of every citizen, noting that timely information sharing can help security authorities prevent attacks and apprehend criminal elements.
The group leader further appealed to community leaders, religious organizations, and civil society groups to continue promoting peace, tolerance, and national cohesion across the country.
Akpoyibo reaffirmed the commitment of the New Delta Grassroots Movement to initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence, national stability, and sustainable development, while calling on citizens to remain united in the collective pursuit of a safer and more secure Nigeria.
