Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, CON, has congratulated former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, following his victory at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Malami described Atiku’s emergence as the ADC presidential flagbearer as a reflection of the confidence Nigerians still have in his leadership qualities, political experience, resilience, and commitment to national unity.
The former minister said Atiku’s victory came at a critical moment in Nigeria’s history when millions of citizens are yearning for purposeful leadership, economic recovery, justice, stability, and national cohesion.
According to Malami, the massive support and enthusiasm witnessed during the primary process showed that Atiku’s message of hope, national rebirth, and inclusive governance continues to resonate across all regions of the country.
He noted that the outcome of the primary election further demonstrated the growing momentum behind the ADC ahead of the 2027 general election.
Malami also prayed for divine wisdom, strength, sound health, and guidance for the former vice president as he prepares for the next phase of the democratic process.
“Your emergence as the flagbearer of the ADC reflects the collective aspiration of millions of Nigerians who seek purposeful leadership, economic revival, justice, stability, and national cohesion,” the statement read.
He wished Atiku success in his quest to build a more prosperous, secure, and united Nigeria.
