Former ADC National Chairman Ralph Nwosu has alleged that the faction loyal to Nafiu Bala Gombe, which is contesting the party’s leadership, is being financed by certain governors and often travels to Lagos and Owerri in Imo State for meetings with their backers.
In an interview with Symfoni TV, Nwosu said, “I know who these people are. Many of them stay in some of the biggest hotels in the country. Sometimes they fly private jets—I know exactly where they go. They fly to Lagos, they fly to Owerri. I know the governors and offices funding them. We are aware of all these activities.”
On the ADC’s way forward, Nwosu said the party would continue with its internal processes and complete them regardless of opposition. He added that INEC had been officially notified of the upcoming congress through a stamped letter.
“Whether INEC sends observers or not, the ADC is confident it is on the right side of the law, and anyone trying to stop the process will face a party ready to defend it,” he said.
