Rayhaan University Secures NUC Approval for New Law Programme

Rayhaan University Birnin Kebbi (RUBK), one of Nigeria’s rapidly emerging private institutions, has successfully completed the National Universities Commission (NUC) Resource Verification Exercise for its proposed LL.B Common & Islamic Law Programme. The exercise took place on campus from Wednesday, September 3rd to Friday, September 4th, 2025.

A dedicated NUC team visited the university to assess its infrastructure, teaching facilities, library resources, and academic readiness, confirming that RUBK meets all regulatory standards required to launch the new law programme. The successful verification underscores the university’s commitment to academic excellence and delivering high-quality legal education to its students.

Founded by Abubakar Malami SAN, former Attorney General of the Federation, Rayhaan University has rapidly built a reputation for innovation, discipline, and a practical approach to higher education. The institution currently offers undergraduate programmes across faculties including Management and Social Sciences, and Science and Computing. In addition, RUBK provides professional certificate courses in high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Project Management, and Islamic Finance.

Operating from two modern campuses in Birnin Kebbi, the university boasts ICT-driven classrooms, e-learning platforms, a well-equipped library, student accommodations, sports and recreational facilities, prayer halls, and reliable internet connectivity. The university is led by Professor Mohammed L. Ahmadu, the Vice Chancellor, whose extensive academic and administrative experience spans national and international institutions, and Mal.
