The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia for re-election in 2027.
The announcement was made on September 16, 2025, by Chief Benjamin Omale, Chairman of the State Unity Caretaker Committee, during a press briefing in Makurdi. Chief Omale praised both leaders for their performance in office, stating that their re-election would allow them to build on their achievements.
He also urged newly appointed state officials to encourage eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), emphasizing that “true love for the governor and the president can only be shown at the polls.”
This endorsement follows support from the Benue State Caucus of the APC in the National Assembly, which had earlier declared President Tinubu as their sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election, citing his administration’s developmental strides in the state.
