NSCDC Donates N900,000 To Slain Officer’s Family In Jigawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa State has donated the sum of N900,000 to the family of its late officer, Bashir Adamu Jibrin, who was killed in the line of duty in Kiyawa Local Government Area.

The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Bala Bawa Bodinga, made the presentation to the widow of the deceased officer at the state headquarters in Dutse. He described Jibrin as a gallant officer who paid the supreme price while protecting lives and property, stressing that his sacrifice would never be forgotten.

In addition to the financial support, Commandant Bodinga also announced a personal pledge of N20,000 monthly assistance to the family, particularly to ensure the welfare and education of the children left behind.

He urged the widow to judiciously utilize the funds to sustain the upbringing of her children, adding that the NSCDC would continue to support families of personnel who lose their lives in active service.

The command further reassured residents of Jigawa of its commitment to combating insecurity and honoring the legacy of its fallen heroes.
