In a bold show of support and appreciation, youth stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State have paid a strategic visit to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), commending his pivotal role in guiding ongoing coalition talks aimed at liberating Kebbi from what they described as years of political stagnation and elite domination.
The delegation, made up of influential young PDP leaders, praised Malami for his behind-the-scenes leadership and wisdom, which they said had significantly shaped the emerging coalition in Kebbi and across Nigeria.
Leading the team was Abdulgaffar Tukur Kalgo, Special Assistant on Legislative Matters to Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed, a 2023 PDP aspirant for the Kebbi State House of Assembly, and a candidate in the 2022 council elections. Kalgo hailed Malami for being a stabilizing force and a bridge between generations of political actors in the state.
He was accompanied by Ahmad Ibrahim Manzo, a prominent PDP youth mobiliser, and Usman Mohammed Ibrahim, a grassroots political strategist. Together, they emphasized that the ongoing coalition is a historic opportunity to free Kebbi State from the grip of recycled political interests and open a new chapter focused on development, youth inclusion, and accountability.
“The coalition is a bold step toward rescuing Kebbi from political slavery, and we are proud to associate with it,” said Ahmad Manzo. “We are here to thank Malami for his vision and quiet efforts that have made these discussions fruitful.”
They described Malami as a father figure whose silent interventions and guidance are helping to shape a new political order in Kebbi—one that gives voice to the people and restores confidence in democratic institutions.
The visit has sparked political discussions across the state, with many viewing it as a clear signal that the youth are not only aligned with the coalition but are ready to lead and mobilize grassroots support for its success.
