Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State was reportedly involved in a car accident on Sunday while travelling from Daura to Katsina. The incident occurred along the busy highway that connects the two major towns in the state.
Sources close to the government confirmed that Governor Radda sustained a fracture in the accident and was immediately rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Daura for medical attention. He is said to be in stable condition and receiving adequate treatment from a team of specialists at the facility.
The exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear, but officials have assured the public that there is no cause for alarm as the governor is responding well to treatment. Security personnel and aides who were on the trip with him are also reportedly safe.
Governor Radda, who has been actively engaging in development projects and community outreach across the state, was returning from an official engagement in Daura before the unfortunate incident occurred.
The state government is expected to issue an official statement soon to provide further details and reassure the people of Katsina of the governor’s continued commitment to governance despite the temporary setback.
