The Federal Ministry of Interior has announced that recruitment into four major paramilitary agencies under its supervision will begin on Monday, 14th July 2025.
The affected agencies are:
• Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
• Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
• Federal Fire Service (NFS)
• Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS)
In a statement issued in Abuja, the Ministry said that the recruitment exercise will be coordinated by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB). Interested and qualified Nigerians are to apply through the official recruitment portal: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
Applicants are also advised to visit the Ministry of Interior’s website for detailed information on requirements, qualifications, and the recruitment process. The Ministry stressed that the process is free and warned against patronizing anyone or group claiming to offer slots in exchange for payment.
“The recruitment process is transparent, merit-based and free of charge. Applicants should beware of scammers and impostors. No staff of the Ministry or any of the agencies is allowed to collect money from applicants,” the statement read.
The exercise is part of the federal government’s effort to strengthen internal security, improve response to emergencies, and boost employment across the country. Officials say the new intakes will fill critical manpower gaps and enhance service delivery in key areas including border security, prison reforms, firefighting, and civil protection.
Nigerians who wish to serve in any of the listed paramilitary agencies are urged to apply early, follow official updates, and prepare for the physical screening stages that will follow the online application.
