In a significant political development, the Enugu State chapter of the Labour Party has officially aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to champion a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This endorsement was made public in an official statement signed by the leadership of the Labour Party in Enugu on July 3, 2025. The party announced its full embrace of the ongoing coalition movement aimed at building a better Nigeria — a move that underscores a rising wave of political reconfiguration across the country.
While reaffirming their loyalty to the Labour Party and its presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Mr. Peter Obi, the Enugu State leadership emphasized the importance of collaboration and grassroots engagement as they begin promoting the ADC agenda across all 160 wards in the state.
“We are pleased to announce that Labour Party Enugu State has officially embraced the coalition to contribute to the movement for achieving a better Nigeria, working together with our principal, Peter Obi,” the statement read.
