Tinubu To Address National Assembly On Democracy Day

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Thursday, June 12, address a joint session of the National Assembly as part of activities marking Nigeria’s Democracy Day.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed that the President’s speech will reflect on Nigeria’s democratic journey since 1993. He added that President Tinubu will pay tribute to the heroes and heroines of the democratic struggle and highlight his administration’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.

“The President will speak on the nation’s democratic journey since 1993, celebrate the heroes and heroines of the struggle, and outline his plans to build a country that benefits all Nigerians,” Onanuga stated.

The joint session is expected to be attended by members of the Senate and House of Representatives, along with key government officials and dignitaries.
