Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, has declared that Tehran has not agreed to any ceasefire or cessation of hostilities, rejecting claims that a truce is in place between Iran and Israel. In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Araghchi clarified that Iran will only consider ending its military operations if Israel halts its aggression by 4 a.m. Tehran time.
> “As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around,” Araghchi said.
“As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations… Provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m. Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.”
With this, Iran has formally rejected ceasefire talks pushed by the United States, insisting that Israel must cease its attacks before any de-escalation can occur.
