In a resounding show of unity and support, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Nigeria’s North West zone today passed a unanimous vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and boldly endorsed him for a second term in 2027, declaring that “there is no vacancy in Aso Rock.”
The declaration was made at the end of the APC North West stakeholders’ meeting held in Kaduna, a gathering that brought together the political heavyweights and decision-makers from the region.
Presiding over the meeting was the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, alongside the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas. Also in attendance were the host governor, Senator Uba Sani of Kaduna State; Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State; Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State; as well as senators, serving members of the House of Representatives, and former governors from the zone.
The North West geopolitical zone, which includes Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto, and Zamfara states, turned out in full force. The meeting also featured members of the Federal Executive Council, heads of government agencies, speakers of State Houses of Assembly, members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) from the region, and state chairmen of the party across the seven states.
The high-powered meeting reflected on President Tinubu’s performance in office so far, with leaders citing his bold economic reforms, infrastructural initiatives, empowerment programs, and renewed hope agenda that is already yielding results across the nation.
In a symbolic moment, a speaker posed a rhetorical question to the audience: “Is there a vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027?” The thunderous response—“No Vacancy!”—resounded across the hall, signaling the region’s firm resolve to back President Tinubu’s continued leadership beyond his current term.
According to the communique issued after the meeting, “The North West zone of the APC reaffirms its unshakable loyalty to the President and hereby endorses him for a second term, recognizing his outstanding leadership, courage, and commitment to the progress of Nigeria.”
The Kaduna gathering sends a clear message to the rest of the country and the world: the North West, a crucial political base, is solidly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and is ready to deliver once again in 2027.
