Chaos erupted at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja as police officers forcefully dispersed supporters of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan with tear gas. This protest follows a heated February 20 altercation between Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Godswill Akpabio over a controversial seating arrangement, which resulted in her referral to the Senate Ethics Committee. The situation took a more dramatic turn last Friday when the Kogi senator accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, claiming she was being persecuted for rejecting his advances—a bombshell allegation that has set the political space ablaze.
