Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has extended his heartfelt condolences to former Comptroller of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Hajara Muhammad.
Hajiya Hajara passed away on Thursday in Kano at the age of 90, following a brief illness.
In a condolence message signed by the Governor's spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday, Governor Yusuf described the late Hajiya Hajara Muhammad as a God-fearing and compassionate mother.
The statement noted that Hajiya Hajara lived a purposeful life, dedicated to serving humanity and worshipping Allah.
Governor Yusuf also highlighted the significant achievements of the former NIS boss, attributing them to the strong moral values and sound upbringing imparted by his late mother.
He prayed for Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her a place in the highest paradise reserved for righteous individuals. Additionally, Governor Yusuf prayed for strength and fortitude for the bereaved family, relatives, and friends to bear the loss.
