The Hypocrisy of the Northern Elites Self-Interest: A Threat to Unity and Progress

The Northern elites behaviour can be seen as a mix of self-centeredness and selfishness. While self-centeredness is about making everything revolve around oneself, selfishness takes it a step further by prioritizing one's own needs and desires above others, often without regard for their well-being.

In this context of the Northern elites, their actions suggest selfishness. They seem to be more interested in personal gains, such as appointments, contracts and privileges than in genuinely advocating for the Northern people. Their silence after achieving their interests implies a lack of empathy for those they claim to represent.

The actions of Northern elites have raised questions about their true commitment to the welfare of the people they claim to represent. While they publicly advocate for the interests of the North, their private actions often contradict their public stance, revealing a self-serving agenda. This hypocrisy not only undermines their credibility but also perpetuates division and stagnation.

On one hand, these elites eloquently express their concerns about the region's challenges, but on the other hand, they prioritize their personal gains over the well-being of the people. They leverage their influence to secure appointments, contracts, and privileges, which ultimately silence their voices and blind them to the struggles of those they claim to represent.

This self-serving behavior has far-reaching consequences which includes, eroding trust, perpetuating division, stifling progress.

It's time for the Northern elites to reflect on their actions and reconcile their rhetoric with reality. They must prioritize the welfare of the people, foster inclusivity, and address the region's pressing challenges. Only through genuine leadership and accountability can the North achieve unity, progress, and prosperity.

The hypocrisy of elite self-interest is a persistent obstacle to progress. By acknowledging and addressing this issue, we can create a more just and equitable society where leaders truly serve the people.
