NSCDC Boss Visits Army Headquarters to Condole on Passing of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja

In a show of solidarity and respect for the nation’s fallen hero, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, led a delegation of senior officers on a condolence visit to the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja. This visit was in honor of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, a revered and results-driven military leader who dedicated his life to national service.

During his message, Dr. Audi lauded the late General Lagbaja as an inspiring and resilient officer who served Nigeria with remarkable commitment and tenacity, particularly in the fight against insurgency. He emphasized that Lagbaja’s leadership had a transformative impact on the Nigerian Army, elevating it to a model institution in military regimentation and organization.

Expressing deep sorrow, Dr. Audi extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the NSCDC’s entire management, officers, and personnel. "Our hearts are with the Nigerian Army in this moment of grief," he said. "We pray for the Almighty's grace, strength, and fortitude for those left behind, and that the soul of our esteemed Chief will find eternal rest."

Dr. Audi concluded with prayers for resilience for the bereaved family and for the enduring prosperity of the nation, affirming that the legacy of Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s service would not be forgotten.
