The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Housing and Habitat, Honorable Abdulmumin Jibrin, has assured Nigerians that the National Assembly is committed to passing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's tax reform bills.
During an interview on TVC's Politics Today, Jibrin emphasized the significance of the proposed reforms, describing them as pivotal for the nation’s economic advancement. He also stated that lawmakers would carefully review and amend any contentious clauses before final approval.
"I have never had any doubt about the consideration and passage of the tax reform bills. We will pass the tax reform bills," Jibrin stated confidently.
The reforms, which aim to simplify the tax system and boost revenue generation, are seen as a cornerstone of President Tinubu’s economic agenda. The legislative process is expected to move swiftly in the coming days.
