President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Saturday evening, marking the end of a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom. The President's absence, which commenced on October 2, was part of his annual leave, as officially announced by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy. In his departure statement, Onanuga assured the nation that Tinubu would be utilizing the period to rest and engage in personal matters.
Upon his arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, President Tinubu was warmly received by a welcoming delegation. Leading the reception was his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, who, along with the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Umar Ganduje, extended a hearty welcome. Also present were National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, amongst other distinguished personalities.
President Tinubu’s return comes amid various ongoing national challenges, including economic and security issues.
