The Pan-African Business Forum has appointed Dr. Abubakar Malami SAN, former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, as the Chairman of its Judicial Review and Transformation Committee for a renewable term of two years. The announcement, made through a press release signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Dr. Ladislas Prosper Agbesi, follows the organization’s Executive Committee Annual General Meeting held from August 27 to 29, 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Malami’s appointment recognizes his extensive legal expertise and unwavering dedication to promoting justice and governance across the African continent. In his new role, he will oversee key judicial reviews, maintain legal standards, and provide advisory services on critical legal matters affecting the Forum’s member states. The meeting also resulted in other significant appointments, including Pierre Marcel Bonnard as the Executive for New Technology and His Excellency Gabriel Mbaga Lima as Chairman of the Energy and Oil & Gas Infrastructure Committee.
