Supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, under the banner of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), have gathered in central Abuja for the fifth consecutive day, demonstrating their solidarity with the President. This show of support comes amidst growing nationwide protests led by disaffected youths, triggered by the removal of the petrol subsidy and ongoing security concerns.
The convener of the march, Tosin Adeyanju, called for patience, perseverance, and dialogue amidst the current unrest, emphasizing that violence will not resolve the issues at hand. Adeyanju, who recently assumed the role of Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Funds, pledged to leverage his position to help alleviate the hardships faced by Nigerians. He assured that President Tinubu's policies, including the establishment of a Student Loan Board, tax holidays for food importers, and local government autonomy, will soon yield positive results.
The march was further enlivened by the presence of various entertainers who came to uplift the spirits of the participants. Among the prominent figures were Zulezu, DZ, and Barrister, alongside cultural dancers representing diverse ethnic groups including Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulani, and Tiv, who showcased their vibrant traditions and dances.

General of the Northern Region Support for Tinubu, urged youths, particularly from the Northern region, to avoid actions that could destabilize the country. He highlighted the President’s commitment to Northern development, referencing the Northwest Development Board as a key initiative that promises to transform the region.
Hon. Umar Mohammed, Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group, emphasized that the President is addressing the impacts of the subsidy removal with necessary measures. He reassured the public that the government remains open to dialogue and negotiations, advocating for calm and continued engagement to resolve the current challenges.
