Major General Ibrahim Ali, the Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), has urged newly inducted Military Staff Officers (MSOs) to uphold the principles of dedication and commitment fundamental to the MNJTF's mission. During the induction ceremony, General Ali emphasized that the event marks the beginning of their journey within MNJTF and the continuation of a legacy rooted in honor and resolute dedication.
He stressed the importance of unity and common purpose within the MNJTF. "As ambassadors of your countries, you are now part of a team united by a common goal – to restore peace and security to the Lake Chad region," General Ali asserted.
Encouraging the new officers to embody courage, loyalty, and respect, General Ali highlighted their pivotal role in shaping MNJTF's future. "Your contributions are vital to our success. Lead by example, inspire those around you, and always keep sight of the greater good we strive to achieve," he urged.
Confident in the abilities of the new MSOs, General Ali expressed trust in their capacity to exceed expectations. "Together, we will uphold the honor of our force and ensure the safety and security of those we serve. Welcome to the team. Let us move forward with determination, unity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence," he remarked.
The diverse group of officers from Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria, Niger, and the Republic of Benin bring a wealth of skills and a shared sense of purpose. Selected for their exceptional dedication, they are set to embark on a one-year tour of duty, representing their nations with pride and determination.
The induction course will provide comprehensive training, covering MNJTF's history and mandate, customs, ethics, and traditions of the region. Officers will also receive detailed briefings on duties, air operations, AU/MST activities, and administrative matters to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.
This induction represents a significant milestone in MNJTF’s ongoing mission to bring stability to the Lake Chad region, reinforcing the force’s commitment to its mandate and core values, and setting a robust foundation for continued success in achieving peace and security.
