In a significant breakthrough, a tactical team from 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN conducted successful follow-on operations in Fann District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, from 10 to 16 July 2024. The mission aimed to recover illegal arms and ammunition following an attack on the team by gunrunners at Sangasa Village, which resulted in the tragic death of Assistant Superintendent of Immigration CL Agwom.
During the operations, the team arrested eight suspects and recovered a large cache of both automatic and locally fabricated weapons, along with various calibres of ammunition from Ratas, Ratoso, and Sangasa Villages. The recovered items included:

- Two cartridges
- Two bottles of gunpowder
