In a resolute move towards harnessing Nigeria's vast gas resources for national development, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed the government's commitment during the commissioning of three pivotal gas infrastructure projects in Imo and Delta States. With an eye on bolstering industrial growth and economic prosperity, the President emphasized the strategic significance of these initiatives, heralding a new era of energy-driven progress.

The expansion of the AHL and ANOH Gas Processing Plants, alongside the ANOH to OB3 Custody Transfer Metering Station Gas Pipeline Projects, marks a significant milestone in Nigeria's quest to optimize gas utilization. These ventures are poised to inject over 500MMscf of gas into the domestic market, fostering a 25% surge in supply and empowering critical sectors such as power generation and gas-based industries.

President Tinubu's administration, guided by the Decade of Gas initiative, remains steadfast in its resolve to harness the nation's abundant gas assets. Embracing innovative measures like the Presidential CNG Initiative, aimed at transitioning to cleaner vehicular fuels, the government underscores its commitment to sustainable energy practices and economic diversification.

Acknowledging the collaborative efforts of NNPC Limited, Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO), and Seplat Energy, President Tinubu lauded their role in realizing these transformative projects. He urged NNPC Limited to sustain its momentum in spearheading energy sector advancements for the collective benefit of all Nigerians.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, echoed the government's dedication to gas utilization, underscoring its pivotal role in achieving clean energy targets by 2060. His sentiments were echoed by Mr. Mele Kyari, the GCEO of NNPC Ltd., who affirmed the organization's unwavering commitment to fortifying Nigeria's energy security through strategic gas ventures.

As Nigeria propels towards gas-fueled prosperity, the commissioning of these projects symbolizes a decisive stride towards sustainable economic growth. With a promise of more transformative initiatives on the horizon, the government reaffirms its stance as an ardent advocate for investment and progress in the energy sector.
