In a gripping electoral showdown that kept the entire Shinkafi Constituency on the edge of their seats, the final results for both the initial and rerun elections have been unveiled. With 95,646 registered voters, the constituency saw 29,184 individuals accredited to cast their votes. The total votes cast amounted to 28,873, revealing a keen interest and participation in the democratic process.
Out of the ballots cast, 28,262 were deemed valid, while 611 were rejected. The razor-thin margin between the two leading parties intensified the excitement, as the difference between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was a mere 32 votes.
The final tally resulted in the PDP securing victory with 13,540 votes, while the APC closely trailed with 13,508 votes. This outcome showcases the significance of each vote and the intense competition within Shinkafi Constituency.
