In a remarkable feat, the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI has achieved another significant victory against terrorists during its dry season clearance operations in Zamfara state. According to a press release signed by Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, Information Officer of Operation HADARIN DAJI, dated January 30, 2024, the troops successfully rescued 20 kidnap victims and neutralized two terrorists, including the notorious leader identified as Sainaje from Katsina state.
On January 29, 2024, the Operation HADARIN DAJI troops conducted continuous clearance operations in terrorists' enclaves at Rukudawa, Dumburum, Tsanu, Birnin Tsaba, Magare, and Shamushalle general areas of Zurmi and Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas in Zamfara state. During the operation, all discovered terrorists' enclaves, including that of the notorious terrorist kingpin identified as Sule, were destroyed as the terrorists fled their camps amidst heavy contact with the aggressive troops.
The troops successfully neutralized two terrorists, including the terrorist leader Sainaje from Katsina state. This action led to the rescue of 18 kidnap victims, comprising 4 males and 14 females, as well as children. Additionally, the highly motivated troops rescued two victims who had been abducted by the terrorists along Shinkafi-Isa road in Zamfara state.
Major General Godwin Mutkut, Commander Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI/General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army, commended the relentless efforts of the troops. Their unwavering determination and resilience in restoring normalcy in the Northwest were acknowledged as a significant contribution to the overall security efforts in the region. All rescued victims have been safely handed over to the appropriate authorities for reunification with their respective families.
