In a stunning revelation, the Nigeria Police Force has successfully foiled an alleged assassination plot, with the arrest of two suspects, including a Chairman of one of the Local Government Areas of Benue State.
The arrested Local Government Chairman stands accused of orchestrating a sinister plan to eliminate the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Aondona Hycenth Dajoh. "Preliminary investigations suggest that the Chairman contracted a militia to carry out the planned assassination," disclosed a spokesperson from the police.
The decisive action was taken by the Force Intelligence Department – Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT) following credible intelligence received about the impending threat to Hon. Aondona Hycenth Dajoh's life. Swift and determined, the operatives apprehended both suspects, ensuring that the alleged conspiracy was thwarted before it could materialize.
