What Governor Abba Kabir Told Tinubu and Shettima After Supreme Court Verdict

In a recent statement released by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Kano Government House, Aliyu Yusuf, Governor Abba Kabir expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for refraining from interfering in the legal battle surrounding the revalidation of his election by the Supreme Court.

The governor, described as a true democrat and progressive, urged his opponent and supporters to unite in the common goal of developing Kano State for the benefit of its citizens. He emphasized the need for visionary leadership dedicated to initiating projects that directly impact the lives of the people.

In the statement, Governor Abba Kabir thanked Almighty Allah for the victory and commended the people of Kano for their unwavering support, prayers, sacrifices, and resilience. He also acknowledged the Supreme Court judges for upholding the integrity of the judiciary.

Special mention was made of the non-interference by President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the apex court judgment. The governor appreciated their commitment to the rule of law despite facing considerable pressure from dissatisfied quarters.

Furthermore, Governor Abba Kabir expressed gratitude to leaders of the NNPP at all levels, particularly Sen Rabi’u Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, for their guidance and support during the challenging period.

The governor's call for unity and collaboration sets the stage for a new chapter in Kano State, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in steering the state towards development and progress.
