The incident occurred on the night of December 24, 2023, when unknown assailants shot him around Esigie Street, Off 2nd East Circular Road, Benin City.
The Managing Director of the broadcast station, Engr. Elvis Obaseki, expressed deep sorrow and called for a comprehensive investigation by the Police, DSS, and other security agencies in the state to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act. The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, has extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, and ITV/Radio. The family asserts that Hillary was not involved in any cult activities and was not planning to relocate to the Upper Mission axis of Benin City.
