Addressing the citizens of Edo State, Shaibu emphasized the lineage of greatness from which they come, with ancestors who built the "Old Bini Empire" through bold ideas and diligence.
Shaibu acknowledged the solid foundation laid by the current administration and highlighted the need for a more inclusive government that truly understands the pains and wishes of the average Edolite. He expressed his desire to reignite the Edo Spirit and transform the future of the state, calling for a government that works hand in hand with the people.
Sharing his experience and track record, Shaibu emphasized his close ties with the people of Edo State, having lived among them for three decades. He recounted his involvement in various humanitarian and rescue missions, his efforts in improving revenue generation, and his achievements in delivering numerous constituency projects both at the state and federal levels.
Shaibu outlined the five pillars of his agenda, which would form the foundation of his campaign. These pillars include infrastructural development and economic diversification, education, sports, skills development, and job creation, healthcare and social welfare systems, agriculture, rural development, and poverty alleviation, as well as security, environmental sustainability, and transparent governance.
The aspiring Governor expressed his commitment to building a prosperous and inclusive future for all Edolites. He emphasized the importance of unity, urging the people to rise above partisanship and sentiments to work together for progress and development. Shaibu called for the preservation of ancestral heritage and sought the support, trust, and nomination of the citizens in the upcoming election.
In closing, he reiterated his determination to make Edo State a better place and called for the blessings of God upon the Peoples Democratic Party, Edo State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
