In a recent development, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has vehemently denied any involvement in the dismissal of his former colleague, Senator Abbo. Dismissing the allegations of his alleged role in Senator Abbo's political turmoil, Akpabio made it clear that he had no hand in the matter.

In a telephone interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Honourable Eseme Eyiboh, Special Adviser for Media and Publicity to the President of the Senate, refuted the claims and denied the involvement of his principal.

Eyiboh stated, "It is unfortunate if he actually said that Akpabio was responsible for his removal. That's the swan song of a man looking for scapegoats."

He further clarified that decisions made by the Court of Appeal are based on the provisions of the Electoral Act and the evidence presented by petitioners. Eyiboh emphasized that the Senate President has no motive to target any of his colleagues, dismissing any notion of a witch-hunt.

This denial by Akpabio sheds light on the ongoing controversy surrounding Senator Abbo's dismissal and seeks to clarify any misconceptions regarding the involvement of the President of the Senate.
