Additionally, three locally fabricated guns and a pair of military desert camouflage uniforms were seized. Ten suspects were apprehended and are currently undergoing profiling for further investigation.

The courage and determination of the troops were again showcased when they thwarted another attempted attack on Mangun and Patlong villages in Mangu Local Government Area. The troops swiftly neutralized a number of bandits, while others managed to escape with gunshot wounds.

In a separate incident on 25 July 2023, troops responded to gunfire from suspected bandits along the Janneret/Washina Changal and Gyambwas roads in Mangu LGA. Upon realizing the presence of the troops, the bandits fled, leaving behind three motorcycles and a locally fabricated gun.

The troops also came to the aid of the distressed residents of Rumfar Gwamna village in an extraordinary display of bravery. They successfully rescued five individuals who had been kidnapped, retrieved a Toyota Camry and Sharon cars, and delivered the victims back to safety.

Continuing their relentless efforts, troops embarked on operations at criminal hideouts in Unguwan Haruna, Kibam, and Dogon Daji forest. Operation SAFE HAVEN is grateful for the support received from law-abiding citizens and urges them to continue providing credible and timely information to assist in the swift response to emerging security situations.
