Igbo's In The North Deserve Same Treatment As Others In The Southeast. - Fatima M. Sambo

The reconceptualization of Nigeria's political landscape is long overdue. Fortunately and unfortunately the just concluded general elections have brought fore and has exposed the principles, norms, values and dogma that dictates political decisions and choices in and around the country.

Ethnocentric jingoism, religious bigotry and outright hate speech has never been normalised in our recent history than what we experienced recently.

The alter of God has been desecrated, religious teachings abandoned at the expense of political campaign, and evnyone that falls short of the Obidient standard has been branded evil, Antichrist and a Lucifer personified that most be rid of by fire by force.

Churches supposedly the centers of moral uprighteousness has became center of hate speech, scare mongering and threats, anyone perceived to be having varied opinion must be purged by fire by force and baptised by the fire of the holy ghost .

At the center of all this stands a Man called Peter Obi, a new found  deity and a lord destined to rule over the affairs of men by all means.

You cannot have a contrary opinion or opposing view with this man, you cannot challenge him nor will you dare criticise him and expect to be in peace afterwards.

The Southeast that's the homeland of the new messiah is a no go area, no one dare sell their candidate or campaign for the opposition party without dare consequences afterwards. It is the turn of the Igbos and only the igbos should dare contest or even make any headway in the Southeast.

99% of the southeast was locked down for peter obi, the region was united in their apparent show of intolerance and tribal bigotry.

On the other hand their scouts in other regions used the religious card to recruit others into their crusade, they declare war against the Hausa Fulani Hegemony when in and of themselves sits on a worst hegemony that can ever be imagined by any sane mind.

90% of Labour Party campaign team is made up of the Igbos, 100% of its legal team is made up of the Igbos and so on and so forth.

Yet they use religious card to indoctrinate Northern Christian and Southwest Christians into a religious war against the Hausa Fulani Hegemony. A result that has only one winner which is the Igbo tribe.

Tribal bigots were recruited with the help of the church and open hatred of Muslims and Islam became the oder of the day to an extent where a pastor appeared in his church for sermon openly wielding a military grade AK49 riffle ready for a battle with the Hausa Fulani, the agents of Lucifer and a personification of everything evil.

If not for the grace of God and the steadfastness of our security agencies they could have set the country on fire as they openly threatened and continue to threatening as we speak. Who cares? After all it will just be an opportunity to tear down the Zoo and actualise their eldorado Biafra Republic.

These mad people must be tamed, if I cannot buy a house or a shop in Anambra not to talk of building a mosque why should any Chukwudi own a house and a church in Sabon gari kano or in Sokoto, Zamfara etc?

If I cannot campaign or even stand for an election in IMO why should any Emeka stand for an election in Kebbi, jigawa or Hadejia?

If I cannot transport my farm produce to eastern states and sell without harassment and intimidation often with disastrous consequences of lost of lives and properties why should any Nwanko own a shop in Sabongari market and run his business absent regards to what the treatment they mated on us in their regions?

Yet this same people who got their means of livelihood in our regions used the same proceed to fund the activities of their bloodthirsty Ipob terrorist to insult and abuse us in their region.

If we give these people chance in the next 50 years you will begin to hear chants like Kaduna,Kano are no man's land.

A stitch in time saves many. I say it is time Igbos get same treatment mated on others in the Southeast. It is all political it is also worth doing to ensure the survival of our culture, religion and territorial integrity.
