The governing All Progressive Congress APC is in a celebratory mood as its Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu takes an early lead in the just concluded Presidential elections across the country.
Early results released by the independent National Electoral Commission shows Tinubu leading in the three out of the six geopolitical zones of the country and recording a substantial number of votes from states in other zones.
So far Tinubu is leading in the Northwest which is the most populous zone in the country with an impressive outing in all the seven states of the zone while Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Rabi,u Musa Kwankwaso trail far behind.
The APC candidate made impressive gains in Kaduna, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi and is almost head to head with the NNPP candidate Dr. Kwankwaso in the most populous state of Kano.
Similarly the candidate recorded an overwhelming success in Kogi, Kwara,Nassarawa,Plateau, Niger amongst the North central states while Peter Obi of the Labour party makes an impressive outing in the FCT.
Also in the Southwest early results shows Tinubu leads in Lagos,Ogun, Osun,Ondo,Oyo and Ekiti states, making victory for Jagaban Borgu imminent and apparent.
