Enough of the inept handling of the economy...Enough of turning the CBN as fiefdom of a cartel.Enough of the repeated failings that has been deliberately made fester without bothering to dig for a solution.Enough of bastardizing the gains that has been achieved in the recent past..Mr.Emefiele has grown in to a cog in the wheel of progress of the nation economy.Recent events has shaped the opinionated public against the suitability of retaining a failed man,in a time when the economy is in shambles..
The failure of the policy on the re-designing of the currency has already pointed to the chaos he created..It simply unmasked the impotency of the CBN governor..Against wisdom,he imposed on the country,a swift and ill-prepared policy that has brough untold hardship on Nigerians..Businesses have plummeted, the GDP has shrinked to an old-time low, families are in pains and agony..He refused to pay attention to gradual implementation of the policy..The ten days extension would never be enough to sweep the old notes in to the vaults of banks, and there is obvious failure of the CBN to plan a cushion on the repercussions expected..He is rather trying to be clever by half by dodging the reality of his failing policies..He created a monster self-serving group holding the nation to ransom and resisting views..It is crystal clear that he is not in resonance with the economic reality of the nation..He is at loggerhead with everyone else, and wouldn't hear any voice of wisdom..This is rather painful..The economy is stagnantly on a free-fall..
Mr Emefiele's policy on cash withdrawal limit is the worse of them all..He deliberately feigned knowledge rural settings by accelerating an abysmal policy intended to hurt the economic fabrics of the nation..Without adequate preparation for the so-called cashless policy,he knows that many businesses in the rural areas would fold-up..He knows that electronic transfers in the villages are daunting..He also knows that families in rural areas, especially in the North, shuttles several kilometers for their banking services..He also knows that most people in the rural areas have low awareness as to the policy..He also knows the impending suffering..He also knows that the CBN is ill-prepared and grossly-inefficient to nip in the bud the expected loopholes in implementing the policy..But against all odds,Mr Emefiele drew a wool on his sense of reasoning and decided to plunge Nigerians in to further poverty..
To buttress his incapacity,he is currently having a running battle with the men of the DSS..Some few days ago,he was whisked in to safety to escape the operatives in the airport, who are in his trails to answer some charges..And it seems he is dodgin an investigation, and been shielded by elements in the corridor of power. It is therefore disheartening that the Chief Executive Officer of the apex bank of a country whose economy is in mess is also enmeshed in controversies..
Our patriots are therefore eager to right the wrongs been perpetrated on the economy..We are eager to push for change that would usher-in a credible leadership of the apex bank.We are also eager to push for leadership of the CBN that would hopefully devolve responsibilities between various units of the economy so that the country can revert back to economic normality..It is time Mr.Godwin Emefiele step aside and face his travails..The economy cannot suffer from such ignominy because of self-centredness of a cabal that is milking the nation to dryness..Our group will soon occupy the CBN headquarters in Abuja if our call is not heeded. We have sympathizers who will occupy CBN offices in the states..
We will push this noble cause to its logical conclusion to sanitize the system of rogues..Godwin Emefiele must go..
