Emefiele's Cashless Policy In A Powerless Society

Leave politics to politicians if you really wants to live a happy life afterwards. But as a civil servant, a military or paramilitary officer and or a businessman once you delve into politics then be ready for something worst than a sucker punch that will end up leaving you with not only a broken jaw but may be a broken skull.

Emefile and his co travellers have continued to hold Nigerians by the jugular, the high and mighty the who is who  in fact the creame de la creame of the society are on their toes courtesy of one man who became a celebrity overnight and enjoying the glare, the specter and the cheers of the media and the paparazzi. Weldon sir enjoy the party while it last.

Whenever I saw Emefile on TV on his well tailored suites and shiny head something came into my mind which include but not limited to who is this man working for? Who is he trying to destroy and does he have any iota of the shoes he's trampling on?

No one doubts Emefile's or CBNs power to effect and or redesign our currency it is their constitutional powers and a good number of APC stalwarts do support the policy and even advised the President in that regards.

But why now? And if now then why the unnecessary hording of both the old and new notes? Why stop banks from issuing notes over the counter and mandate them to do so only via ATMs? Why also limit cash withdrawal to 20,000 per day for an individual at these phase when the bank acknowledged that people have tonnes of cash at home? Bring all your cash to us take twenty thousands and go, who does that for heaven's sake?

Apparently these were deliberate in oder to cause shortage of cash in oder to derail the system. And to make matters worst bank to bank wire transfer came to a stand still for almost three days, citizens are left with no option but to groan in pain all in a bid to pitch the people against a particular party that denied him it's presidential ticket on a platter of gold.

It doesn't take a professor to put 1+1 to get 2, why should Emefile force people to take their old notes to the bank and deposit same when they don't have enough new notes to redeem same? Despite His continued insistence that the CBN has printed enough Naira notes to effect the swap. So where is the cash?

Emefile and CBN telling Nigerians to go cashless is an insult to our collective sensibilities and an indication that he and his co travellers are far removed from the society 95% of us live and call home. They are million miles from reality deeply rooted in their elite space with no idea to the society we live.

Otherwise how can Emefile and CBN think they can shove a cashless policy down our troths in a powerless society? Today my neighborhood enjoyed power for less than 6 hours and it has been like that for over a week, the signal needed for bank transfers to work has been down for three days not forgetting that close to 60% of Nigerians don't even have a bank account and even those that do a large proportion don't know how that transfer of a thing works and upon that someone somewhere wants to force some cashless policy on us how does that makes any sense?

This is policy is politically motivated and it is glearing for all to see apparently they are fighting back because we deny them our party's ticket thus they want us to lose the elections due to the grudge they hold against us but they will fail again by the powers of the almighty good will triumph of evil.
