The Qatari government has condemned in strongest terms the plan by the newly inaugurated Israeli government to expand settlements in the occupied Jerusalem.
The Qatari government also faulted what it called the continued attempts by Israel to Judaize the Al Quds and Al Aqsa mosques in severe violation of UN Charter, International law principles and a blatant assault on the rights of the Palestinian people.
The ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Sunday expressed Qatar's dissatisfaction with the continuous violations of the fundamental human rights of the Palestinian people by successive Israeli governments which is hindering any peaceful resolution of the crises.
The Qatari government also called on the international community to assume its statuary responsibility in ensuring Israel stops its settlement policy in occupied Palestinian lands.
The ministry renewed the Qatar's firm position in the right of the Palestinian people and establishing an independent state on the basis of 1967 borders with East Al Quds as its capital.
