The Delta APC Legacy Grassroots Movement, under the leadership of its Convener, Engr. Felix Akpoyibo, has commended the Member representing Ughelli North Constituency I in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Onojighofia Omonade, Esq., for what it described as his exemplary respect for traditional institutions and unwavering commitment to maintaining a close relationship with the people.

The group praised Hon. Omonade following his visit to the revered traditional rulers of Orogun Kingdom on July 12, 2026, describing the homecoming as a demonstration of humility, cultural consciousness and responsible political leadership.

According to the movement, the lawmaker's decision to first seek the blessings of the Okpara-Uku of Orogun Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Joseph Okorocha Emoghene (Osuokpa I), as well as the Okarho of Ugono-Orogun, reflects the enduring importance he places on the traditional institution as a pillar of peace, unity and community development.

The movement noted that although the visit was intended to be private, the spontaneous turnout of men, women and youths across Orogun Kingdom to receive the lawmaker was a clear indication of the confidence, affection and goodwill he enjoys among his constituents.

Engr. Felix Akpoyibo said the overwhelming reception accorded to Hon. Omonade demonstrates that leadership built on accessibility, humility and genuine service naturally earns the trust and admiration of the people.

He further stated that the colourful cultural displays, prayers and goodwill messages witnessed throughout the visit underscore the strong bond between the lawmaker and the communities he represents.

The Delta APC Legacy Grassroots Movement also applauded Hon. Omonade for openly acknowledging the support of community leaders, women, youths and political associates who accompanied him during the visit, describing the gesture as evidence of inclusive leadership and appreciation for grassroots participation.

The group expressed confidence that Hon. Omonade's continued respect for the customs, traditions and values of Orogun Kingdom would further strengthen unity and promote sustainable development across Ughelli North Constituency I.

The movement reaffirmed its commitment to supporting leaders who demonstrate humility, honour traditional institutions and remain connected to the aspirations of the people, while wishing Hon. Omonade greater success in his service to his constituents and Delta State.
