The Delta APC Legacy Grassroots Movement proudly celebrates one of Delta State's finest political leaders and grassroots icons, Chief (Mrs.) Faith Majemite, fondly known as Oniemo, as her beloved mother, Mrs. Florence Igue, marks her 80th birthday.
As family, friends and well-wishers gathered in Benin City to honour the remarkable life of Mrs. Florence Igue, the Movement joins millions of admirers in celebrating not only a respected matriarch but also the exceptional daughter she raised—a woman whose life has become synonymous with service, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to humanity.
Chief (Mrs.) Faith Majemite has, over the years, distinguished herself as an outstanding grassroots mobiliser, compassionate leader and committed progressive. As the former Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council and former Special Adviser on Women Mobilisation, she has consistently demonstrated that leadership is best measured by the lives touched, the opportunities created and the hope restored to ordinary people.
Throughout her years in public service, Oniemo has remained a dependable voice for the people, championing community development, women empowerment, youth participation and inclusive leadership. Her accessibility, generosity and readiness to stand with the vulnerable have earned her the admiration of people across political, ethnic and religious divides. To many, she represents the true spirit of servant leadership—one that places the welfare of the people above personal interest.
